I am wondering which class in openfoam-2.1.0 is mostly similar to famesh in openfoam-1.6-ext. polymesh?fvmesh?etc.

Hi,

faMesh is based on the PrimitivePatch, so it is not connected to any of the volume meshes in OpenFoam, but rather the boundary meshes of the volume meshes.

I hope that this has clarified a bit.
