Hello, i'm trying to mesh a wing, and a model body-wong in 3D with blockMesh, but after dealing and struggling with it i'm getting quite upset. I can't get "OK" with checkMesh, since always got orthogonality and aspect ratio problems. i shouldn't decrease grading too much cause i need low y+
Could anybody help me out with both meshes? |

Hello,
BlockMesh is not an easy tool to create mesh with, it is possible but it takes a lot of time... There are matlab scripts that make dictionaries (that can be found online) for BM but you can never know how correct they are, and if they would work with your airfoil. So, You should use snappyHexMesh, there is wingmotion tutorial in /incompressible/pimpleDyMFoam/wingMotion, there is a dictionary that will be usefull. Also, you should make your stl as fine as possible. Ask if you have further questions, - miro Last edited by miro2000; August 14, 2013 at 05:01. Reason: to much words |
