Hi,
I am a beginner on OpenFoam and new to CFD entirely as my only previous experience is preforming 2D analysis on an airfoil section in Ansys CFX over the last 4 weeks.
I currently have 6 weeks left to preform 3D analysis on a wind turbine. So far i have OpenFoam 2.2.0 installed on ubunto 11 via VirtualBox. I have been attempting tutorials and so far my understanding is that I must copy a suitable tutorial file that is similar to my requirements and edit the files within?? I am completly lost where to begin and how to operate OpenFoam to this extent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's been almost six weeks now. How are things coming along? The propeller tutorial is probably the closest to a wind turbine.

Hi,
I have stopped working with OpenFoam for the meanwhile due to my laptop not being powerful enough to run it effectively and the lack of free computers within the college. Instead I have turned to using CFX and ICEM to mesh and solve the problem at hand. I hope to return to OpenFoam in the near future however.
