Hi,
I am quite new to using CFD packages and OpenFoam. I am running Ubuntu 12.10 and I have a working OpenFoam 160 and 211 and I am running waves2Foam in OpenFoam 160. I have created a mesh in gmsh 2.6.0. It is a 3D mesh but then is converted to a 2D mesh in OpenFoam but making the front and back patches empty. I have used the command gmshToFoam in OpenFoam 211 and it has meshed the problem on but then when I run waveFoam on it in OpenFoam 160 it doesn't work. I haven't been able to set up waveFoam to work in OpenFoam 211. As such I have tried to use gmshToFoam in OpenFoam 160 and have gotten the following error: Code:
Found $MeshFormat tag; assuming version 2 file format. Starting to read physical names at line 5 Physical names:8 wrong token type - expected string found on line 0 the label 1 file: IStringStream.sourceFile at line 0. From function operator>>(Istream&, string&) in file primitives/strings/string/stringIO.C at line 57. FOAM exiting I thought that maybe using an older version of gmsh that would be compatible with OpenFoam 160 would work, but I have been getting errors in making gmsh 2.1.x Thank you very much for your time and effort. Regards, Ross |
