Hi,
i am having a problem with the snapping Part in snappyHexMesh. i try to Mesh a airfoil profile. The first step of SHM works fine and i get a nice Mesh. (picture 1+2) But when it comes to the snapping part SHM snapps the wrong Elements. (pictures 3+4) Instead of meshing the upper and lower elemnts it snapps the side elements. Has anyone an idea how i can fix this Problem? I think i have to modify the tolerance part in the SHMDicts but the result does not realy change. (tried 0,05 up to 4,0) Best wishes Andy |

how is your snap-output? Can you put your log-file in there? I think there is a problem with many cells and sHM collapse that again couse of bad mesh result. For that problem, its possible to scale your mesh bigger - mesh it again - rescale it down. Tobi |
