Weird snapping outside a refinement region

Hi everyone,
I am trying to run snappyhexmesh on a rectangular geometry, with a very small obstruction in the middle in comparison to the room. I am using a refinement region to refine to a higher level around the small object but this also seems to mess up the meshing outside the region as shown in the picture. Does anyone know what is going off? Thanks in advance James heres my snappdict: Code:
