Hello,
I am trying to create a geometry which has a lot of curves. When I do the meshing with sHM, it creates holes in the geometry. Can anyone suggest why it is being created, or if I have to adjust some setting in sHMDict. I have attached the geometry and the sHM Dict file below. Thanks, Dhruv. Code:

Can you explain with more details what your problem is?

Hi lovecraft,
As you can see in the figure, there were holes being created in my geometry. This was after the snapping procedure. Since the surface is solid, after the 1st time step in sHM, the castellated mesh was quite rough but ok. However, when i completed the 2nd step of snapping, there were some holes. The solution which i found out is that I when i refined the base mesh (the blockMesh), then these holes were gone. This is probably because, the thickness of the geometry is pretty low. So, near the faces, snappy had the problem to snap to the correct surface. When i refine the Mesh near the surface, everything works well. Dhruv. |
