Hello everyone,
I'm new to OpenFOAM and I've got a few problems.
I want to simulate a small fermenter with a rotating stirrer. I managed to create the jar and the stirrer in salome and mesh it with snappyHexMesh. But when I add a cylinder to separate the moving mesh and the constant mesh, it deletes the stirrer.
I added a couple of pictures to show my problem. I hope anybody can help me.

The second problem I have is, that I don't know, how to use the mesh for my simulation. I have got a tutorial, which says, that I should copy the “polyMesh” directory from my last time step to the “constant” directory. But if I do this, paraFoam does not show me anything.

Maybe a good tutorial will solve all my problems, does anybody know a good tutorial for meshing and rotating meshes?

I'm using OpenFOAM 2.1.0 if it makes any difference.

Edit: In the boundary file in "timestep/polyMesh/" inerslider and outerslider have the type "wall" shouldn't it be "patch"?
If I should add any logfiles, "snappyHexMeshDict" or anything else, just say it.

I don't think I would be able to help you but probably uploading the tutorial you are talking about and your case directory would be helpful to whoever was willing to try and help you out.

I expressed myself inaccurately. I do not have a tutorial, I just have a manual, which describes how to recreate the “pitzDaily” tutorial case with Salome and snappyHexMesh.

Edit: The case is to big to attache, but you can download it here. But I attached the snappyHexMeshDict.
