Hello All,
I am trying to generate a 3-d mesh in Gmsh for a wing with a boundary layer, but having difficulties in generating a prismatic boundary layer. I am using OpenFOAM as the solver, but a Gmsh generated mesh without the prismatic boundary layer is unstable. The wing has different root and tip profiles so it cannot be generated with the "Extrude" command. I can generate a boundary layer over the wing surface, but when I mesh the entire system, the meshes from the field boundaries go to the wing surface and not the top of the extruded boundary surface. Can anyone provide some guidance on how to properly mesh the field mesh to the outer extruded boundary layer surface and not to the the wing surface. Thanks, Bob |
