hi everyone,
I've just installed Openfoam 2.1.0 and Paraview and I would like do the tutorials. Unfortunately I cant find the files. There should appear an folder called Openfoam in my home directory but there is none. I'm quite sure the installation of openfoam was succesful. Do I have to install them seperately or how can I find them? thanks bookie |

hihi,
if you installed everything according to the website the alias "run" should work! open a terminal and type : run it will take you to a folder with the tutorials folder in it.. then you just enter it and run the well known cavity tutorial.. if you prefer: cd $FOAM RUN/tutorials/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity check this link: http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/cavity.php#x5-40002.1 it's the walkthrough of the lid-driven-cavity also type: which icoFoam and you see where OF was installed! /calim Last edited by calim_cfd; March 2, 2012 at 09:53.
