gcc compiler path in make file

Hello,
I want to install OpenFOAM-1.7 on our big cluster. But i want to use system gcc i.e root gcc to compile. Where can i find gcc path in make file of OpenFOAM? I suppose i need to change that from default to my root gcc. Cheers, CFDkid |

Greetings CFDkid,
Without knowing which OpenFOAM version you are talking about, then the simple answer is: check OpenFOAM's etc/settings.sh <2.0 or etc/config/settings.sh >=2.0 and see what the variable foamCompiler is set to. It should be comented just above it how to set it to use the system's compiler. Here are a few more links you might find helpful:
