Greetings Morteza,

You were so close... There is an area dedicated for this on this forum: OpenFOAM Windows Installation

But I suppose you did browse it briefly and came up empty handed. So basically it sums up to this:
  • There is no official release of OpenFOAM for Windows. Officially, the closest you'll get is this: http://www.openfoam.com/resources/windows.php
    The reason:

  • Unofficially, there are various modifications for making OpenFOAM run on Windows going around the Internet, including paid and supported versions of those modifications. You can find a list here (although not 100% complete): http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ti...mportant_Links
  • You can find some of the wiki pages available at openfoamwiki.net about this subject here: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ca..._on_Windows_OS
Best regards,
Bruno

My hint is to actually use Linux, since you will have to learn the basics of UNIX systems anyway to use OpenFOAM, and these days using Linux is not that complicated.

You might want to consider a friendly distribution like openSUSE or Ubuntu.

Best,

To obtain more accurate answers, please specify the version of OpenFOAM you are using.

Hi Morteza,

I very much agree with Alberto. But if you have to stick with Windows for some reason, you could also start with OpenFOAM on a VirtualBox, as explained here.
