Hello
I've installed OPenFOAM 1.6 on a SUSE distribution. There seems to be problems using Paraview. 1) I would rather use a system version of Paraview rather than the one in the ThirdParty package, is that recommended? 2) Does the Paraview in the ThirdParty incorporate Mesa functionality? 3) Also is Visual Toolkit used in the ThirdParty software? The following is an example of an error report by a user using standalone Paraview. With no Mesa libraries referenced in the Paraview Build. created temporary 'cavity.OpenFOAM' Read float past end of buffer Read float past end of buffer Read float past end of buffer Read float past end of buffer terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::length_error' what(): basic_string::_S_create /app2/openfoam/platforms/linux.altix/OpenFOAM-1.6/bin/paraFoam: line 110: 103962 Aborted paraview --data="$caseFile" |
