Hello,

I'm a relatively experienced OpenFOAM, Linux, and UNIX user. I'm thinking about purchasing a SPARC based computer from Sun, and running OpenFOAM, as well as other applications.
Is there anything complicated, such as source code modifications in the OpenFOAM installation that should stop me from buying such a system?

Thank you for your feedback,

The only thing I've heard people complain about (in general, non-OpenFOAM users) are the sometimes somewhat old versions of system tools (sh, sed, awk, perl) being annoying. You might want to ask your sale rep about the current state of affairs.
