OF 1.6 on Ubuntu 9.10 ??

Maybe it will be silly question, but...
Is there any one of you who properly installed OF1.6 (or .x) on a fresh Ubuntu 9.10 not on the upgraded one? By "properly installed" I mean of course software installed and fully operable. So? |

Actually I found the solution today. If any one of you have a Ubuntu or other OS with different language than English by default, then just type
