Hallo,
i am an absolute fresher to Openfoam. i downloaded all the files and created the necessary folders and unpacked the files. before starting the installation , i tried to run the script foamSystemcheck (accoring to the README FILE) and have obtained some errors regarding network host etc.. which i dont understand. why is networking necessary when i want to run Openfoam on a PC. Further i dont understand the steps in the README -appendix regarding networking. can anyone help me find a way out ? |

Rule #1 when asking questions in a Forum or on a mailing list: Tell us what hardware and what operating system you are running. Rule #2 would be to tell us exact which command you are using - you did that - thanks Rule #3: Tell us the exact error message. That said, I don't know why OpenFOAM needs networking, either. Does it prevent you from doing other stuff? Markus |
