hi all,
i have some problems with instalation of OpenFOAM on unicomputer (Red Hat 8.0, pentium 4, user rights). If anyone have any idea how to bypass this problem, please help. does your tcp/ip stack working? Are you able to ping your localhost (172.0.0.1). You get this error because the installation script is not able to ping you localhost. Are you in the right runlevel (3 or 5)?
Take care that you network setup is working and go ahead. |

There are only two possibilities:
- your tcp/ip stack is buggy - your tcp/ip stack is not loaded > check the loaded kernel modules > what is the output of ifconfig I am sure your Admin will fix this problem cheers Stefan |
