I have installed OpenFOAM1.2 in a P4 2.6,512M computer which is running a SUSE 9.3 operating system.

I did not unzip the OpenFOAM-1.2.linuxGcc4Opt file before installation, I only unzip the OpenFOAM-1.2.General file, and I built it by what the README file says.

When I test the installation by command "foamInstallationTest", I get the following report,in which there is 1 fatal error(s).

Please give me some advice, thank you!

That's a bug in the foamInstallationTest program; the "OpenFOAM-1.1" in that part of the test script should have been updated to "OpenFOAM-1.2", and it wasn't.

In any case, everything else looks fine, so I'd say that this looks like a successful installation.

See also this thread in the "OpenFOAM bugs" section of the forum, where this is discussed. Apparently the entire foamInstallationTest script is the OpenFOAM-1.1 version:

Thank you for your kindly help.
One more question:
I didn't unzip the OpenFOAM-1.2.linuxGcc4Opt file, so was there any influence about it?
