I compile the OpenFOAM-1.2 source by unzipping OpenFOAM-1.2.General file only(don't unzip the OpenFOAM-1.2.linuxGcc4Opt file), but it looks fine except the installation test script about the FOAM-1.1.

So I want to know, is it a successful installation without unzipping the OpenFOAM-1.2.linuxGcc4Opt file?

I am a fresher both in FOAM and Linux, and please give me some advice.

Thank you very much.

If you compile it yourself, you only need the General pack.

Just change the value of FOAM_VERSION at the beginning of the foamInstallationtest script.
