Hi
I installed openfoam according to the readme. but when i want to run the firs example,i can't find icFoam blockMesh.cavity according to step 6. Please help me . Thanks. |

Hi everybody.
I correct the topic in this page.There is no error, but i can't run the first example. After installation test,i don't receive any message. I add that there is firs time of linux installation in my pc. Thank you very much. |

Hi Marhamat,
First of all, it's a bit strange you did not get any message after running foamInstalationTest. In a case you installed it correctly, you have to have at least positive response (at the end it's written: Base configuration ok. Critical systems ok. ) Did you get that? If yes, type to terminal: cd $HOME/OpenFOAM/${LOGNAME}-1.3/run/tutorials/icoFoam and type: blockMesh . cavity (please note that there are spaces before and after dot.) When you do that, what response do you get? Another question: What linux distribution you use? |
