I thought that I successfully posted this earlier today so I hope it doesn´t end up being a double post.
I´ve installed OpenFOAM 1.4 i386 on two machines successfully, but I´m having issues installing 1.4.1 i86-64. foamInstallationTest is complaining that there are two paths for gcc (I don´t know where to tell it to simply use the OpenFOAM/linux copy, or if it is that simple) and that icoFoam is not present. FoamX complains that nsd is not present (I did find nsd, but I don´t know what config file controls where FoamX looks for it). Would I be better off compiling myself or is this stuff fixable? I´m a linux novice but definitely willing to learn more to get this running. I´m doing this for work and really just want to start using OpenFOAM and finish configuring it. |

Eric,
Could you please post the explicit output of foamInstallationTest ? I don't think that you want to recompile...it can be very time consuming. Check that the correct lines have been added to your .cshrc or .bashrc and that WM_64 is on. DPS |
