Hi People,
I am a newb to linux/openfoam and hope can get some help here. I just installed puppy 4 as the linux and installed OpenFOAM 1.4.1 according to the online guideline. However, when i typed FoamX, it says error "nsd"command not found with the FoamXHB(?) file at line 130, when i go to open and read the file, it s basically a line started with "nsd" command. is there any suggestion to fix this? also, i tried to follow the online step by step guide to run the dailyPitz but when it comes to blockMesh.cavity, it says command not found/no such command. I understand that it might be better to use command rather than FoamX but I would really like to start with FoamX and at least go through the tutorials. any help/suggestion is welcomed. cheers |

Hi Lawrence, and welcome.
First try to run icoFoam, and type: icoFoam If it prints "command not found" than it means you did not configure the environment. Do you have in your ~/.bashrc a line saying: . ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4.1/.OpenFOAM-1.4.1/bashrc ? Dragos |
