I'm installed open foam on Ubuntu 8.04, but when i try to star parafoam, I obtain this message of error:
paraview: error while loading shared libraries: libQtAssistantClient.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory thanks for all yours aid. Francesco |

Hi
You need to install qt4.3.5, which you can get by searching in Synaptic Package Manager. When it is install please follow the README to compile Parafoam /Niels

I've installed libqt4-dev 4.3.4, the only avaible for ubuntu 8.04

Do the same, as with qt. Go to Synaptic Package Manager and search for mpfr.
Get libmpfr-dev and the manager will suggest the additional needed packages. From there on, you should be set to go. / Niels

Thanks ngi,
I had the same problem as francy, followed your instructions and the compiling of paraview3.3 works. It's still running, so I do not know if the compiling of PV3FoamReader will work...
