After I go to the source directory and use the ./Allwmake command. The computer take many hours to build everything, but give a massage of error and last few sentences are as below, what's the problem:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [/home/jun/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5.x/applications/bin/linuxGccDPOpt/mixtureAdiabat icFlameT] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/jun/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5.x/applications/utilities/thermophysical/mixture AdiabaticFlameT' make[1]: *** [mixtureAdiabaticFlameT] Error 2 make[1]: Target `application' not remade because of errors. make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/jun/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5.x/applications/utilities/thermophysical' make: *** [thermophysical] Error 2 make: Target `application' not remade because of errors. Hi Jun,
I feel that you have tried several procedures which I think just wouldn't be required. Could just follow the procedure mentioned in the below link. Hope you are using Ubuntu 8.04? http://www.cfd-online.com/cgi-bin/Op...2166#POST32166 Fine try that out and let me know if there is any problem. Bye Rishi

Thanks Gareth |

This type of error appears in many threads. The answer is that the compilation of an OpenFOAM library has failed (and you didn't notice). This failure resulted in another compilation failure of the icoFoam solver. My suggestion is to go to the top directory OpenFOAM-1.5.x and open the Allwmake file. It is a simple shell script and you can just copy and paste line by line into an xterm, and run. Then you will see exactly where your failure lies, and pinpoint the problem. Dragos |
