[OpenFOAM.org] Terminal shows blank screen after adding a line 'source /opt/openfoam11/etc/bashrc'

Hello,

I am following the instructions posted on openfoam.org
(https://openfoam.org/download/11-ubuntu/)

At the User configuration, I could not go further because adding the following line 'source /opt/openfoam11/etc/bashrc' to the .bashrc file makes my ubuntu terminal blank screen(no prompt appearing)

Return to the original bashrc by removing the line makes the terminal work

What is the problem here?

I would guess that you might have somehow created an infinite loop of sourcing itself - but that really is just a guess.

Could also try installing the openfoam-selector (follow some of the instructions: https://develop.openfoam.com/Develop...ompiled/debian)

The openfoam-selector is dead simple, but makes it simpler to switch between different versions.
