Hi,

I am currently using OpenFoam 8 docker version in a Manjaro system (Linux). I would like to install a new version, OpenFoam 9 docker version. How could I install 2 docker versions in the same PC? Do I need a new docker or just add a docker image?

You will have one version of docker itself, but there is no particular limit on how many docker images you can use. The next part will depend on how you are actually starting the images. In the openfoam.com version there is a

https://develop.openfoam.com/packagi...penfoam-docker
wrapper script. With that one, you could simply specify "openfoam-docker -2012" or "openfoam-docker -2106" to use different versions.

Hi,

Thank you a lot for your reply. So what I need to do is to add a docker image and install the new version (Openfoam 9) to that image. I can enter into different version of OpenFoam by different commands. Do I understand correctly?

Kind Regards,

Lei

I'm sorry but I don't use or endorse the "openfoam.org" variant - also for reasons mentioned in my blog post: https://olesenm.github.io/2020/11/11...de-provenance/

The openfoam-docker command I mentioned is for the "openfoam.com" variant, with that one you simply specify the version and it will pull it (if available).
