Dear Foamers,


taking research on Fluid-Structur-Interaction (FSI) package, I found the package "Solid4Foam".

First I compiled OpenFOAM V7 (https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...7/Ubuntu/18.04)

Following the steps mentioned in:

I got the message of missing "gfortran" package.

I installed it via:

sudo apt update sudo apt install gfortran

Unfortunately I ended up with errors (see attachments).


Also I tried to compile it in foam-exent-4.0, but I also get some errors:

philipp-4.0/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/solids4Foam
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortran
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
/home/philipp/foam/foam-extend-4.0/wmake/Makefile:159: recipe for target '/home/philipp/foam/philipp-4.0/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/solids4Foam' failed
make[1]: *** [/home/philipp/foam/philipp-4.0/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/solids4Foam] Error 1
/home/philipp/foam/foam-extend-4.0/wmake/MakefileApps:39: recipe for target 'solids4Foam' failed
make: *** [solids4Foam] Error 2
make: Target 'application' not remade because of errors.

Could anybody help me please?

I have the same problem but i can not fix it following that tread, i'm working on Ubuntu 20.04and foam extended 4.0, someone can help?
