Hi,
I'm trying to validate a well-known case, turbulent flow over NACA0012. Information of the validation ca be found here: https://turbmodels.larc.nasa.gov/naca0012_val.html I simulated properly the case with the version of OpenFoam v2006, obtaining succefull results. I can say that I validated the case because I got accuracy values for Cl and Cd for differents angles of attacks (0º, 3º, 6º, 9º, 12º and 15º). I did that with two different turbulence models (RAS-Spalart Allmaras and RAS-KwSST) using the solver simpleFoam. The problem is the following one. I tried to run the SAME case with a version of OpenFoam installed by means of Docker. (IN THE SAME LAPTOP). Both are supposed to be the same version but the results are differents (Relative error 30 %) and it isn't related with the time of convergence. Has anyone suspect where can be the problem? If someone is interested in look over the code, the case for AoA 3 degrees is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p2P...ew?usp=sharing The case is ready to run with simpleFoam. Thank for your time. |
