ParaView 5.6.3 in openFoam installation

Hello
I’m a beginner on linux and openFoam i tried to install openFoam something i managed to do but paraview doesn’t work and when i try to install from third party with ./makeParaView i get the following error: CMakeError.txt N.B: Iam using Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, GNOME 3.36.3 and openFOAM2006. Compiling ParaView is unfortunately often quite annoying. IMO however, there are not too many reasons to actually bother. The ParaView/VTK native OpenFOAM reader does a good job. The only places you would need to plugin reader is if you need to have sets/zones that change and you don't want to use foamToVTK for them. Another case is setting up complicated blockMesh dictionaries and the `blockMesh -write-vtk` doesn't give you enough information. /mark |
