I'm trying to install OpenFOAM-2.3.1 from source on Ubuntu 18.10 (I have installed the 7th version of OpenFOAM). When I try to launch ./Allwmake I get this error:

./Allwmake: 4: ./Allwmake: wmakeCheckPwd: not found
Error: Current directory is not $WM_PROJECT_DIR
The environment variables are inconsistent with the installation.
Check the OpenFOAM entries in your dot-files and source them.

please help me solve this problem, thank you very much!!!

With these older versions you need to pay particular attention to the contents of the OpenFOAM etc/bashrc to ensure that directory location is correct (you probably need to manually edit the file).

After making those changes and sourcing the etc/bashrc file, check that the value of "$WM_PROJECT_DIR" makes sense.

Note that with such an old version of OpenFOAM, you are very likely to run into various compilation issues with newer compilers.
