[OpenFOAM.com] How do i install open foam v1606+ through virtual box

Hi all,

I have been trying to install open foam on my windows computer (windows 10, 64 bit). Being that the installation was unsuccessful, I was told that once i download virtual box, i could install open foam (v1606+) via ubuntu. I have now installed virtual box with an ubuntu, but i'm confused about the actual open foam to download; whether linux or windows?

I won't mind getting a download link. Please bear with me as my hardware knowledge is very limited

Quick answer:

You will either have to install from source code, by following the instructions to build from source code.
Or, although I don't know which Ubuntu version you have, I wrote step-by-step instructions on how to install v1606+ on Ubuntu 16.04 sometime ago: https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/I...u#Ubuntu_16.04
