[OpenFOAM.org] Best OS to use with Openfoam

Good day again,

Frankly, I have of50 installed. You can compare dev and 50 versions here for Ubuntu LTS:

https://openfoam.org/download/dev-ubuntu/
https://openfoam.org/download/5-0-ubuntu/

Is parafoam part of -dev version ? or it needs to be installed separately ?

From what I read, it seems that -dev does not have parafoam in it.

Maybe you clear you session environment and install https://openfoam.org/download/5-0-ubuntu/ ? This one comes with ParaView.

I have no idea. Yea I think that's what I'll do right now, ill get 5.0 instead of dev.

What I have just done when installing OpenFOAM-dev:
(By the way, I got paraFoam after the install)

*start paraview 5.4.0 with the OpenFOAM libraries

You need to erase/comment out what has been created by
source
of OF environmental variables. Then, install OpenFOAM and re-source new .bashrc:
. /opt/openfoam-dev/etc/bashrc

I would simply follow:
https://openfoam.org/download/5-0-ubuntu/

Please let me know who it goes.

It works!

So I guess dev version doesn't come with paraview.
