I am trying to upgrade from the OpenFOAM2.1.1 and Helyx OS 1.0.1 to OF4.0 and Helyxos 2.4. I have installed the latest version of Helyx OS but i couldn't able to install the OpenFOAM. When i tried to do that i received an error "the installer cant run in openfoam environment. Please use a fresh terminal without openfoam environment".
Please help me out of it. Thanks in advance. regards, Leelakrishnan |

Quick answer: You need to replace the source lines you have in the file "~/.bashrc", with the the respective alias alternatives.
For example, if you have this: Code:
. $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-4.0/etc/bashrc Code:
alias of40='. $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-4.0/etc/bashrc' Then save the file "~/.bashrc" with this changed. Then start a new terminal window/tab. Now you can start up Helyx-OS. Next time you need to use OpenFOAM 4.0 or 2.1.1, you can activate it by running the respective alias, for example, by running: Code:
of40
