Hi everybody

I have recently installed OpenFOAMplus with the purpose of doing a collage project.
Since I am a linux & docker & CFD newbie, I am in trouble,
By following the instructions, I had run ./startOpenfoam+ and everything was fine but one, and that is when I want to open a text file from the container, this message appears

bash-4.1$ gedit 1.py
bash: gedit: command not found

I sent an email to the OpenFOAM staffs and they said that I should install gedit in the container, but I was unable to find out the way of doing that.

On the other hand, I know how to pull an image from the docker hub, such as mary/gedit, but does it make any sense? I mean, should I just add an extra command in OpenFOAMplus so I can run the editor inside the environment?

Please help me, thanks in advance

vi should be installed. You may use that. It is slightly strange for non unix users, so read a short introduction first.

Thank you bro, vi is indeed installed and I can now edit files freely.

A short tutorial of vi for anyone who might be interested in learning how to use it:
