Well i have not use this one but it should be pretty same . Better copy your tutorial in /mtn/c/users/lenzo assuming your user name is lenzo and then run it . You can browse this location directly from windows browser as well

Dear pgh,
are you sure it works in that way? I think that the most probably way to connect the virtual machine and my computer should be through a special program. But still i can't figure out which one is. Anyone has any other suggestion? |

Thanks - this worked for me. Stupid question - after I modify the files and save them back on my c drive, how do I copy them back into the workingDir? Thanks! Last edited by edomalley1; November 14, 2017 at 13:57. Reason: answered my own question. |

I have the same Problem with the Tutorial files.
cd workingDir cp -ar $FOAM_TUTORIALS/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity/cavity . cd cavity blockMesh icoFoam When i try this command only the first one works. When i try the second one it displays this message: cp: missing destination file operand after '/opt/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-v1806/tutorials/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity/cavity' Try 'cp --help' for more information. [ofuser@default workingDir]$ I hope you guys can help me. Kind Regards, Klaas |

Quick answer: If it states:
Code:
cp: missing destination file operand after ... Code:
cp -ar $FOAM_TUTORIALS/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity/cavity .
