Hi all;
I am going to install OPENFOAM and ParaView within ubuntu 14.04 operation system with codename “Trusty Tahr” Desktop i386. My question is that which versions of OPENFOAM and Paraview are suitable for this operation system specially from the viewpoint of tutorials executing in user's guide. Really, once, I had some troubles & problems with paraview 4.0.2 for the cavity tutorial executing in user's guide. I would appreciated for any advise and help. |

I think I undestand the bugs you're speaking about, some field values gave problems. Anyway with 14.04 I'm facing others, but I think you have to live with them anyway.
So for me, go on with the installation 'cause you can't avoid bugs, have you ever heard about visIt? it reads VTK as well... Bye |

Hi;
Really,You know, I was faced with some output messages in the paraview running such as following error message: Quote:
Or,once, I couldn't see some meshes on ParaView 4.0.2. Of course I overcame this problem by using ParaView 3.10.1. However, another problem I was faced it was, not to split meshes in chtmultiregion tutorial. Also I didn't hear anything about visIT software. I'd glad if I know about that. Really what's that? Moreover I want to download Paraview 3.10.1 and Openfoam 2.3.1. Are these suitable for my ubuntu release? Thanks for any other suggestion. |
