Dear OF users,

how could I install foam-extend-3.0 in ubuntu 14.04. I was working in that version of OpenFOAM but I updated ubuntu from 13.10 to 14.04 and the old foam-extend-3.0 is not working in ubuntu 14.04. It gives me such this error for example for cavity test case

owner@owner-HP-Pavilion-Sleekbook-15-PC:~/foam/foam-extend-3.0/tutorials/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity$ blockMesh
blockMesh: error while loading shared libraries: libmpi.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

How can I solve this problem?

Hi Maimouna,

here you can find instructions on how to install extend-3.0 from source code for your ubuntu 14.04:

If unsure, what they mean in the first instruction, the OF 13.10 instruction is easier to understand and it should work nearly the same for Ubuntu 14.04:
