Hi,
I'm using a Mac but have a Ubuntu 12.4 virtual machine set up. I have very limited C++ experience but my dad has been a programmer for about 25-30 years and he's a little lost by it too. During the User configuration stag, step 3: test that the icoFoam application is working by typing "icoFoam -help" in a new terminal window. The response from this is "icoFoam: command not found" I haven't been able to do anything that can fix it. Any suggestions? Is this a common error? I've tried uninstalling (remove) OpenFOAm and starting again but to no avail, it won't uninstall. Should I reinstall the VM and start again? Any help is greatly appreciated. I've got my final year project next year and really want it to be in CFD so I need to teach myself how to use the software over the summer to show I've made some headway. Thank you in advance. Paul |
