Hi Foam pioneers,

I've implemented a parabolic velocity profile using groovyBC at the inflow B.C. I still want to add a random fluctuation, like the turbulent inlet B.C. in standard OF does.
Is there a way that can couple the two BCs? THX in advance.
Any suggestion on implement a turbulent B.C will be of great appreciation.

There are 4 functions in the swak4Foam-version of groovyBC: rand, randNormal, randFixed and randFixedNormal. See the README-file for details (hint: you won't want the Fixed-variety)

I have a unsteady turbulent compressible internal flow (one inlet and one outlet).I have not faced any trouble related to their combination.

You can have a look at this report from Charlmers Open source CFD course:

Code:
http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kurser/OS_CFD/NinaGallJorgensen/ReportReviewed.pdf
This is about a way to generate turbulent inlet conditions based on vortex method (see the reference therein). You can also find the corresponding code on that website. But do note that the code has some problems when ruuning in parallel and it does not fully implement the original vortex method.
