Dear community,

I am pleased to announce the new Progressively Data-Augmented Explicit Algebraic Reynolds Stress Model (PDA-EARSM) applied to kOmegaSST for OpenFOAM. The model's focus is to enable the accurate prediction of turbulence-anisotropy-based secondary flows (e.g. corner flows) based on high-fidelity data with 2-equation eddy-viscosity models.

The model has been developed by the Fluid Mechanics & Turbulence group at Aarhus University and its use is open and available for everyone at:

https://github.com/AUfluids/PDA2DEARSM

We have tried to make the compilation as straightforward as possible, but of course, any comments and suggestions for improvement are appreciated.

Feel free to test the models in different cases and post the results. It would be very interesting to check their performance in complex cases. Attached you can find the qualitative and quantitative results for a square duct flow of Re=3500 of DNS, standard kOmegaSST and kOmegaSSTPDA2DEARSM.

If we keep collaborating and sharing high-quality results and studies, we could little by little improve the use of open-source CFD for everyone

One last thing: if you use it, please remember to share the love and cite our work:
