Hello all,
I apologise if this has been asked before, but I've had no luck finding anything similar online, and I don't know where to go from here. I'm new to OpenFOAM, and I'm having an error installing swak4foam on OpenFOAM 7. I know the version is old, and newer versions may have better luck, but OF7 is the one I need to use for my project. OpenFOAM 7 is installed in my /home/ directory, and I'm using a relatively fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04.01, if that helps. I tried following Torsten Schenkel's tutorial on YouTube, which basically consisted of navigating to the OpenFOAM applications folder, and running: ''' hg clone http://hg.code.sf.net/p/openfoam-extend/swak4Foam swak4Foam cd swak4Foam ./AllwmakeAll ''' Running this yields the error below. I can't really tell what the error is saying is wrong, nonetheless how to fix it: ''' Current OpenFOAM version is 7. No sense continuing as everything else depends on it Requirements for Library not satisfied. I see no sense in going on Check the README before you go on to ask. And search: Most likely your problem occurred to 5 other people before and has been solved on the MessageBoard ''' Initially I got the error that there was no binary 'python', which I was able to fix by installing python-is-python3, but now I get this, which has no clear message telling me what the error is. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Jon. Last edited by j.adams; April 23, 2023 at 03:08. Reason: Fixing formatting |

Nevermind, all fixed now.
Using the github mirror of swak4foam seemed to work. |

Hi, which one of the clones are you using? Could you share the link? I am facing the same issue.
