Quick answer: "MembraneFoam" seems to have been developed to use OpenFOAM 4. However, OpenFOAM 1706 has other definitions that are not compatible with the OpenFOAM 4 names...
You might want to try this branch: https://github.com/EdMBarry/MembraneFoam/tree/OF5 - to get the source code, run these commands: Code:
git clone https://github.com/EdMBarry/MembraneFoam/ membraneFoam_v5 cd membraneFoam_v5 git checkout OF5

Hi wyldckat,
Thank you for your answer! But when I run the installation, I found there is another error. 2.PNG and I searched the file and a similar one in the membraneFoam. 3.jpg and found the file is empty, the similar one in the membraneFoam is different has no file end with .so Should I download the “lib-” or just copy the files in the similar one? It is appreciated if there are any advices! Kawinsa |

Maybe at this point you had solved your problem, maybe not
I downloaded the Mathias Gruber version, neither worked for Windows nor .com versions, but 3.0.x and 4.x There are 2 versions, the -master and the new, -master only works on <4.x and had no errors for me on 3.0.x The new version had 2 errors on 4.x, one was about a file from previous versions that didn't exist anymore and I just erased the mention The second error was more complicated about a value "static" that wasn't defined like that, I just really searched about similar errors, tried to compile and it worked, I'm pretty new on coding and the test gave me "logical" data on the simulation, so I think it's fine Good luck |
