Dear all,
Currently I am in the middle of compiling an acoustic solver for ultrasound in OpenFOAM v18 on windows and that requires that I additionally compile the swak4Foam library to implement the "groovy BC" boundary condition. The error "wmake: hg: command not found" keeps popping up during this compilation thus the library is not able to compile. On researching this, it appears that "hg:command not found" indicates that I need to download an additional package called "mercurial". Naturally I got hold of and attempted to compile a tar file for mercurial 4.9 but the compilation encounters errors for either two reasons 1) I don't have permission to access my root directory (indicated by " .../.../.. permission denied") or when I change the installation directory (which in this case I specified to be my home directory)... 2) the following error appears "abort: couldn't generate documentation: docutils module is missing please install python-docutils or see http://docutils.sourceforge.net/" Naturally I took the step to compile a Docutils tar file- and once again I run into a "could not create '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/docutils': Permission denied" error. Bearing in mind that I am compiling the code on the windows docker version of OPENFOAM taken from the OPENFOAM subsidary website of ESI, my question is two-fold: a) The docker version does not recognize user-permission commands such as "sudo" or "--user" so is anyone aware of any commands related specifically to this platform that can give me file root access b) Is there a simpler away of obtaining a groovy BC library as this is proving incredible long winded for a simple pressure boundary condition. best, Raheem |
