Problems compiling with OpenFOAM 2.1.0 on Mac OS X

could anyone please let me know a step by step procedure to compile wave2foam on OF 2.1.0. Thanks |

Hi Niels,
Here is the error I got while compiling waves2foam I used svn co link from the wiki and installed libgsl and followed instaructions as in wiki page and did ./Allwmake ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/lib64' Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: "Foam::interfaceProperties::interfaceProperties(Fo am::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&, Foam::GeometricField<Foam::Vector<double>, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&, Foam::IOdictionary const&)", referenced from: _main in porousWaveFoam.o "Foam::interfaceProperties::calculateK()", referenced from: _main in porousWaveFoam.o ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [/Users/ramesh/OpenFOAM/ramesh-2.1.0/platforms/darwinIntel64Gcc46DPOpt/bin/porousWaveFoam] Error 1 ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/usr/lib64' Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: "Foam::interfaceProperties::interfaceProperties(Fo am::GeometricField<double, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&, Foam::GeometricField<Foam::Vector<double>, Foam::fvPatchField, Foam::volMesh> const&, Foam::IOdictionary const&)", referenced from: _main in waveFoam.o "Foam::interfaceProperties::calculateK()", referenced from: _main in waveFoam.o ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [/Users/ramesh/OpenFOAM/ramesh-2.1.0/platforms/darwinIntel64Gcc46DPOpt/bin/waveFoam] Error 1 Last edited by wyldckat; October 7, 2018 at 14:51. Hallo Ramesh,
It appears that you are trying to compile on Mac OSX, is that correct? I have no experience on that system, but I suspect that the linking to GSL is the problem. Kind regards Niels
