Hi Niels,

I see that you have updated the repository and add the OceanWave3D coupling. Is it possible to specify as an input to OceanWave3D a focused waves (i.e control over focused time and location)? Can we specify the wave components that we want (frequency, amplitude, phase, spreading, etc) for the OceanWave3D instead of using a randomly generated input?

Hallo Katakgoreng,

I am glad to hear that you find the extension with OceanWave3D useful. I do not think that there is a direct way of enforcing a focused wave train, but since you have access to the code, you could always include an additional wave theory.

I have to say that I am not very experienced with OceanWave3D myself, but my first few encounters have shown that it is a very powerful tool.

I agree with you that the combination between OceanWave3D and wave2Foam is very powerful. You have the benefit from fast solver of OceanWave3D in the far field and complex CFD simulation of wave2Foam in the near field.

My programming skill is quite rusty, cracking the code would take quite some time, I guess.
