Hello, folks.

I'm a beginner at Openfoam and despite the initial struggle I'm really enjoying to learn more about it. I was invited to work on a uni project which studies the fish swim and part of my responsibility is to simulate a fish movement using the Immerse Boundary Method.

I already read a bit about the subject and the best information I found about the IBM is related to professor Jasak which developed a code to implement IBM on Openfoam through extension 3.2. My question is, is it compatible with of6? Would it be better to use a former version of openfoam or is there anyone working with IBM on openfoam6?

Sorry for the really basic doubts, thanks in advance.

Hi, I am wondering if the immersed boundary method is implemented in OpenFOAM 6 by now. I would like to pull out a solid body (2D plate) from a fluid domain. The solver I use, twoLiquidMixingFoam, does not have the dynamic mesh feature, so I learned that the movement of the solid body can be modelled using the immersed boundary method (supposed to be easier than integrating dynamic meshing to the solver). I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
