Hi, everyone. When I run the tutorials Flume of the waves2Foam, it seems it not run correctly. because in the log file, it saids: /opt/openfoam5/bin/tools/RunFunctions: line 93: setWaveParameters: command not found. And this happens to all the log files expect the mesh log file. I don't know why and how to solve this problem. can anybody help me?

it is probably that you do not set the waveFoam environment variables correctly or you forget to compile the waveFoam. so that the command can not found. so try to check the log file when you compile the waveFoam and make sure there is no error. then source the OpenFOAM environment variables.
Secondly, you would better not move the tutorials to other places if you want to use the Allrun script. because the Allrun file use a relative path like '../../'

Thank you for your answer, I will try, the log file just showed one line that"/opt/openfoam5/bin/tools/RunFunctions: line 93: waveFoam: command not found" . In fact, I don't know how to compile the waveFoam and how to source the OpenFoam environment variables

I mean the log file is for logging the process of compiling the waveFoam. not for the running of the tutorial. if you do not know how to compile the waveFoam and source the OpenFOAM environment variables, you must a beginner, you need to do a lot of work to run the tutorials. a reference for installation.http://http://openfoamwiki.net/index...m#Installation
and these days I am preparing to write a Blog about the installation of waves2Foam for beginners.but I am not sure when I will have time to write it. if I write it. I will send to you in this post. try to follow it.

Many thanks to you, I will try to learn how to compile the waveFoam and source the OpenFoam environment.

You are so kind, can you just tell me where to find the log file for logging the process of compiling the waveFoam. because when I run the Allwmake file, there is some warnings, but I didn't notice that before. And I searched my conputer, there is no log file about this

Or can you tell me where should I begin to learn? because the reference online are too much and confuse me . I don't know where to begin

when you run the Allwmake you need to log it. such as running Allwmake >log.make 2>&1 after that you can check the log.make file to see whether there are some errors or warnings.
by the way, I have written a post on my Blog, but it is in Chinese. if you can understand Chinese. you can have a see, hope it can help you a little.http://maoyanjun.top/2018/01/10/wave...D%BF%E7%94%A8/
if you have any questions, you can keep asking me at here or send me an email. maybe I will reply sooner to email.
