Hi Niels,

I find the code fragment of the wave theory: Stream Function theory is somewhat different from what described in manualWavesFoam_v090. I am not sure if I download the latest version of manual. But I think the code fragment of Stream Function theory you described in manual is much more convenient to use. Because I can not get the exact value of uBar, A(), and B(), which is necessary for using SF in waves2Foam, even if I have the streamfunction (CW263) code. I am really appreciated if you could give more guidance to have these value for a certain regular wave. Thank you !

Best regards,

Kun

Hi Kun,

I do not understand your question. Stream function wave theory is part of setWaveParameters and it works as detailed in the manual. Maybe you use a too old version of waves2Foam? Check the appendix for corrections to the code and associated svn revision.

Kind regards

Niels

Thank you for your reminder. I have understood where my problem is. I think I used to set the wave Properties in a wrong way.

Best regards,
Kun

Sure. I just modify the waveProperties file as like the code fragment of streamFunction.C. And then modified the executable file Allrun to avoid setWaveParameters. It works but not friendly. I did that because I did not read your manual when I begin to learn waves2Foam.

So I highly suggest the new waves2Foamer to read your manual firstly.

Best regards
Kun
