Dear Foamers
I'm a researcher interested in OpenFOAM. I'm currently searching for a method to simulate the mechanical deformation behavior of multiple components, but haven't been able to find suitable solvers or tools in the official OpenFOAM documentation or community resources. Specifically, I would like to simulate multiple components (such as solid parts or elastic bodies) and consider their interactions. These interactions may include contact, friction, constraints, as well as the deformation behavior of solid components. I'm aware that OpenFOAM provides many solvers for individual components, such as solidDisplacementFoam, solidStressFoam, etc., but I'm curious to know if there are similar solvers or extensions available for handling scenarios involving multiple components. If you know of any solvers or extensions in OpenFOAM that are suitable for this situation, or have any related suggestions or experiences to share, please don't hesitate to do so. I appreciate any form of assistance! Thank you! |
