How to apply a constant force on a solid during solids4foam fluid-structure coupling?

When conducting fluid-structure coupling simulations for a flexible cylinder, I've been trying to apply a tensile force on the top surface of the solid using the "solidTraction" boundary condition in the solid solver's initial conditions. However, the calculation quickly diverges (it runs well when the top surface is set to "fixedDisplacement"). Could you please advise on how to apply a tensile force on the top surface of the cylinder?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |

Can you provide more information about the boundary conditions and geometry of your case? If the solid does not have a prescribed displacement on any patch, this may cause the problem (the body is floating in space - that's why it can converge when you prescribe it).
